Breaking: Edo 2016: INEC Postpones Election By 2 Weeks






Following intense pressure from security agencies, the Independent National Electoral Commission has postponed the Edo State governorship election by two weeks.
The INEC chairman, Prof. Mahmud Yakubu made the announcement on Thursday in Benin city, the state capital.
The election had earlier been scheduled for Saturday September 10, 2016.
